Are You Prepared for a Pandemic?
 Flu2
As you well know, much of the nation these last couple of weeks has shifted its attention to the outbreak and spread of the H1N1 virus, also known as "swine flu."  Regardless of your opinion as to the severity and spread of swine flu, it is essential in times like this to be prepared for significant disruptions to your operation; the swine flu will not be the last time that the health and welfare of your staff is threatened.

In order to be prepared and ensure confidence to employees, families, customers and clients, the following present some easy ways to "cover all of your bases" in the threat of health scares :
  • Train your employees on the basics of interpersonal hygiene - covering your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough, washing your hands regularly, and avoiding close contact with people who are ill.
  • If you do become ill (with swine flu or any other illness), respect the health and welfare of others in your workplace by staying home and/or limiting contact with them.
  • Be aware of the symptoms of swine flu:  fever, body aches, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, runny nose, sore throat, dizziness, difficulty breathing, and mild confusion.
  • Promote healthy lifestyle decisions, like eating healthy and well-balanced meals; staying properly hydrated; taking vitamins; and exercising.
  • Notify your customers and clients of the training that is taking place in your facility, and how you plan to handle potential disruptions in the operation.

The swine flu will come and go... will you learn the lessons necessary to be prepared for "the next scare?"

Value Added Services

In today's economic climate, companies are searching for multiple ways to cut costs and boost profit margins. While fuel prices rise for the summer and utility costs seem to increase, labor becomes more of a focus for businesses looking to save money. While this is true, these same companies don't have the luxury of lowering the standard of quality that their reputation depends on. As a result, dependable outsourcing has become a regular part of everyday business, and Impact Logistics has become a third-party provider that companies are relying heavily upon.

One of the reasons that Impact continually stands out from its competitors is their constant drive for improvement. It's no secret that Impact Logistics is the nation's premier freight unloading provider, but they are also regularly adding services to better meet the needs of their customers.

Impact Logistics' is living up to their reputation by helping provide solutions for companies across the nation.  An example of this is the value-added services offered in their Memphis, TN warehouse and  headquarters. Since opening the facility, they have had the opportunity to offer value-added services for companies FrontImpactwho need quality work, but also want to save by outsourcing special projects. With a strong flexible work force, Impact is prepared to handle trans-loads, product returns, repackaging, product reworking, and nearly any other kind of outsourcing need. Using Impact's value-added services allows companies to lower cost, while maintaining the standard and quality that their customers demand.
